How does anyone grow their faith in God? By hearing Him! Christians have a personal relationship with the living Savior, Jesus Christ. For this relationship to be real, communication must take place (1 John 1:7). We speak to Him in prayer, He speaks to us through His Word, the Bible. He may get our attention through circumstances that are beyond coincidence but the Bible is our fundamental source for His wisdom. So our faith grows by hearing God speak to us through His Word. If we truly have a relationship with God, we’ll spend time in prayer and studying His Word (John 8:31). As our faith grows, we will naturally become bolder witnesses for Christ, not being satisfied by just being fed with the Word: "Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves" (James 1:22).
